Ms. Eleanor Humphries is the former president and CEO of the Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA). Prior to joining HIAA, she was the president and CEO of Credit Union Atlantic (CUA). During her time at CUA, the credit union experienced significant growth and a significant re-positioning as a major community-based financial institution. Ms. Humphries has also worked in various management positions of increasing seniority within the financial services industry, including management positions within the Bank of Nova Scotia at the branch, regional, district and executive office levels.
She holds a B.Sc. and an MBA from Dalhousie University. She has also obtained the executive management designation from McGill University and her FICB (honours). In addition to her work and educational experience, Ms. Humphries is an active volunteer in the community, sitting on the boards of the Nova Scotia Community College Foundation, Innovacorp, the Nova Scotia Mental Health Foundation, the Metro Halifax Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Halifax Partnership, and the Atlantic Canada Chamber of Commerce.
