J. H. (Jim) White

Jim White is vice president of RBC Royal Bank's commercial financial services division. In this position, he leads a team dedicated to delivering high quality, tailored business solutions to commercial clients throughout Halifax. Prior to his appointment to this role in 2003, Mr. White was senior account manager with the commercial markets and public sector division of RBC Royal Bank. He has worked with a wide spectrum of enterprises, ranging from small businesses to some of RBC’s largest publicly traded commercial and public sector clients in Atlantic Canada.

In his 30 years with RBC, Mr. White has developed a wide range of cross-functional expertise in many areas, including risk management, human resources, and operations. Raised in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Mr. White holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University and an MBA from Dalhousie University. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (Honours). A strong community supporter, Mr. White serves on the board of directors for Northwood Manor Foundation and is actively involved with CAFE Nova Scotia.
