Innovacorp is seeking an energetic, results-oriented and entrepreneurial individual for the role of investment analyst at our incubation facility on Nova Scotia Community College’s Annapolis Valley Campus in Middleton.

Under the direction of the vice president of investment, the investment analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to Innovacorp’s investment team. The incumbent will also provide assistance to clients through analysis of business and financial plans, and through strategy development and implementation, thus increasing the volume and quality of investment opportunities for Innovacorp in the western Annapolis Valley.
Key Activities
• Performs detailed business analysis and summary reporting, and provides relevant advice to address the challenges and opportunities of clients.
• Prospects and assesses new companies, building a pipeline of qualified clients.
• Provides input and perspective into the client development process and assists the investment team with client reviews.
• Performs activities associated with investment review, approval and closing cycle, including screening opportunities, analysis, due diligence and recommendation for investment.
• Plays a hands-on role in developing profitable new business ventures.
• Raises Innovacorp’s profile in the marketplace and in the venture capital, business and academic communities.
• Develops relationships with post-secondary institutions and other local community stakeholders.
• Helps manage the daily operation of the incubation facility in Middleton.

Education and Experience
