Security

  • Our enterprise-grade firewall and router protect you from hostile intrusions and vulnerabilities found with typical consumer-grade internet service providers
  • Whether you are logging in from home or the road, your remote connection through the Innovacorp network via virtual private networking (VPN) back to your network is secure through both data encryption and password protection.
  • All Innovacorp network equipment is physically secure, residing in our facilities and accessible only by authorized personnel.
  • The wireless access (WiFi) available in our incubation facilities allows connectivity to only the internet (wireless traffic is isolated from the rest of the Innovacorp network).
  • Our IT staff assists clients to ensure password protection and other security measures are effective.

Reliability

  • Innovacorp’s highly qualified IT professionals are on call to help.
  • Our team monitors the network 24x7x365 so we can proactively address potential issues.
  • Innovacorp IT services are delivered via redundant fibre pairs, connected in a ring configuration to our facilities. You can depend on your service even if there is a break within a fibre pair or a failure in the ring.
  • Innovacorp infrastructure is protected from brownouts and blackouts via UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply). Our corporate office at 1801 Hollis Street (where all telephone and internet connections originate) and the BioScience Enterprise Centre have an additional layer of protection in the form of a backup generator
  • The backup generator ensures internet and telephone service continues if there is a power interruption.
  • The local power company gives downtown Halifax priority for power restoration; Innovacorp’s 1801 Hollis Street IT hub is among the first to have power restored.
  • Rather than multiple internet connectivity boxes, cables, and supporting power bars - which often cause reliability issues - the Innovacorp IT offering requires minimal interconnections between your equipment and the Innovacorp network.
  • The Technology Innovation Centre is equipped with a new server hosting facility, with appropriate heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), secure caged client hosting areas to house client computing equipment, and battery bakup. Feel secure about your server equipment with controlled access and 24x7 surveillance cameras.
  • We have expanded Innovacorp’s IT support services to your desktop. You no longer have to live with an issue that is impacting your computer performance, or spend valuable time dealing with computer issues or waiting until other service providers are available to address your concern.     Cost Control

  • Innovacorp provides clients with enterprise-grade IT solutions at competitive rates. All charges are clearly outlined on a single invoice. The IT service is a standard offering for resident clients, so there are no pre-qualifying conditions, credit checks, or long-term contracts

     

    Innovacorp offers:

    • A variety of internet packages with up to 10 Mbps upload and download speeds, webhosting, email, and static IPs.
    • Tailored telephone services such as configuration of telephones, ability to answer multiple extensions on a single telephone, auto attendant options, and even having our staff answer your incoming calls.
    • Long distance throughout North America for pennies per minute (international rates vary by location). Clients are encouraged to use this service while in the office. While on the move, you can make local calls into the Innovacorp system from your cell and then call out to your destination.
