An Innovacorp investee company, Diaphonics Inc., recently announced they landed a new US customer.

The International Bank of Miami is using a voice verification system, Spike Server, developed by Halifax-based Diaphonics Inc.

Innovacorp's board of directors announced today, May 24, the appointment of Dan MacDonald as the corporation's new president and chief executive officer.

Mr. MacDonald brings to the role more than 19 years of high tech business building experience, including global marketing and product commercialization.

Diaphonics Inc., a provider of security solutions based on voice verification, today announced the completion of a $3.5 Million (CAD) round of financing. New investors Covington Capital and Innovacorp were joined by previous investors BDC Venture Capital (a division of the Business Development Bank of Canada) and Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI). Diaphonics will use the new capital primarily to expand sales and marketing efforts.

Halifax-based Coeur Metrics, early stage developers of a medical device that measures the heart’s ability to pump blood, has closed a $1.5 million round of financing. Participating investors are BDC’s Technology Seed Investments and Innovacorp.
