Congratulations to LeadSift, developers of a technology that generates sales leads by mining social media, which was yesterday (November 7, 2012) named as one of the most enterprising new companies in digital marketing.
The award was part of the prestigious Ad:Tech New York digital marketing event. LeadSift was one of four companies chosen from hundreds of applicants as a finalist in the competition’s Data & Analytics category. The company pitched live onstage at Ad:Tech and took home top honours in its category. As part of the prize, the company will have the chance to pitch in-house to General Electric at a later date.
LeadSift helps sales and marketing professionals identify and pursue business leads more efficiently. The proprietary technology analyzes chatter from popular social media streams like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and blogs, and turns the data into accurate and targeted local leads for sales.
Global cloud-computing giant Salesforce recently integrated LeadSift's product into its social marketing cloud offering.
LeadSift CEO Tapajyoti Das founded the company last year with fellow technology developers Sreejata Chatterjee, Hatem Nassrat and Daniel Allen. The team has signed up early adopters, and is launching a closed beta product this month. A commercial launch is scheduled for early 2013.
