A Halifax biomedical company on a mission to fight superbugs is enhancing its product development with an investment from the province.

Halifax-based software company 2nd Act Innovations has opened a sales office in Palo Alto, California, and hired experienced software veteran Chris Strachan as its senior vice-president of sales. Strachan brings start-up, sales infrastructure and C-suite experience to the new office.

Invest Atlantic is an investor-friendly meeting place for investors, entrepreneurs, organizations providing services to the investment and financial sectors, and individuals interested in becoming investors.  Happening in the middle of Innovation Week, the gathering is focused on the raising of equity capital by existing businesses looking for expansion, growth, and/or partnerships, and addressing one of the critical challenges for innovative early- to mid- and even late-stage businesses.
