Ian is experienced in production, design and R&D related to engineering activities, as well as project management, plant analysis and troubleshooting, financial and business analysis, technology change processes, technical human resource analysis, implementing strategic technology planning, applying competitive intelligence practices, and presentation and marketing activities.

Ian has worked with over a thousand firms in various capacities and can therefore share a wide diversity of examples and situations with Innovacorp client companies.

Over the course of many years several of these activities were required to comply with ISO quality practices and procedures.

Ian holds a B.Sc. in chemical engineering from Queen’s University, a certificate in international business and marketing from Saint Mary’s University, a change mastery certificate, and has completed a wide variety of other courses and workshop training sessions during his career.

He is also a co-inventor of a patented rail car unloading mechanism and has authored a web document titled Technology Planning: A Reference Document.»
