Virtual reality presents an opportunity to immerse patients in friendly, comforting, story-driven environments that have been proven to engage and entertain people by the millions all over the world. Combining this with eye tracking, we can create a diagnostic tool that has never been possible before, and capture and record movement and pupillary activity to diagnose a variety of pathologies.

Join us Wednesday, May 9, from 8:00 am - 9:00 am to hear from Ryan Cameron, founder of Electric Puppets. Electric Puppets has entered into a research collaboration agreement with the IWK Health Center to explore the possibility of this new kind of tool in the context of the Eye Clinic, as guided by Dr. Robert Laroche and Dr. Darren Oystreck at the clinic. Electric Puppets were winners of the 2017 Spark Innovation Challenge.
