Hacking Health cafés are informal meetups to discuss and debate digital health topics – where people and ideas mingle.
The Hacking Health Halifax launch café took place in April, drawing at least 150 healthcare professionals, IT specialists, developers, programmers, entrepreneurs, and patients to the IWK Health Centre’s Goldbloom Pavilion! They welcomed Luc Sirois, founder of Hacking Health, alongside an expert panel. This time, they're ready to take a hands-on approach at the June café and workshop.
During a facilitated session, they'll invite you to identify key healthcare challenges in multi-disciplinary groups. Together, you'll learn a repeatable, design thinking process that can be used leading up to and during the hackathon weekend. As always, this session is admission-free. Of course, we’ll save time at the start and finish of the design thinking session to mix, mingle and meet new people!
Hacking Health aims to transform healthcare by connecting healthcare professionals with designers, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs to build realistic, human-centric solutions to front-line healthcare problems.
Who should attend? Anyone is welcome, so long as you have a passion for innovation and a willingness to share your expertise. Health professionals, hackers and makers, entrepreneurs and innovators – everyone can contribute!
(Hacking Health Halifax will be hosting cafés and workshops leading up to a weekend hackathon in November 2016.)
