Marc, a lifelong entrepreneur, created Ascenta Health in 2003 as an opportunity to combine his passion for natural health, his scientific expertise, and his love for the planet. The company has since become a leading developer of natural health products in Canada. In 2015, Ascenta Health was sold to Nature’s Way. Marc is currently the president and founder of Bend Beauty, producer of the high-end Bend Skincare line. Marc holds a bachelor of engineering from Montreal's École Polytechnique.
David Cudmore, President & CEO, Scotian Gold Co-operative Ltd. (www.scotiangold.com) – David has been president and CEO of Scotian Gold Co-operative Ltd. since 1987. His retirement date is at the end of this month. David has led the company through challenging times and now into a period of growth and expansion. Scotian Gold is the largest apple storage, packing and marketing company in Eastern Canada. It is also a major supplier of crop inputs to the agricultural community. David is a certified public accountant and a graduate of Acadia University.
John Allen, President, Propeller Brewing Company (www.drinkpropeller.ca) – John is president of Propeller Brewing Company, Nova-Scotia’s best-selling microbrewery. Launched in 1997, the company has international award-winning, all-natural, British-style ales and lagers. Before establishing the brewery, John worked in the film industry and made beer at his home. John launched Propeller Brewing just before the boom of hand-craft beers. In 2015, sales of craft beers at the NSLC increased by 26.7 per cent in one quarter showing the growth of the industry.
