aioTV, a global provider of IP/OTT middleware and back-office tools for video service providers, today announced it received its second grant by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of U.S. Patent No. 8,869,207 B1 covering, among other things, methods and systems for delivering video content from multiple platforms to subscribers. This comes just after announcing the company’s patent that enables unified service creation from multiple sources of live, on demand and/or freely available Internet content.
“The ability to aggregate multiple sources of content is becoming increasingly important as we see more streaming services coming to market with the likes of HBO, CBS All Access and Loins Gate’s Tribeca Short List,” said Mike Earle, aioTV CEO.
“Our patents now span the creation and delivery of multi-sourced content in a single experience. Ultimately consumers want easy access to the content they care about, we enable operators, content providers and CE companies the tools to offer a unified experience that does exactly that.”
aioTV offers a commercial platform that leverages existing infrastructure, providing the tools and functionality to easily package and deliver OTT content and advanced IP services – including 4K unified with core multi-channel service in a single experience. aioTV has several global Tier 1 video service providers deploying this solution.
