Karma Gaming, a developer of next-generation casual games for lotteries worldwide, today announced a $4 million Series A round of financing.
The funding will enable Karma to commercialize the contracts acquired earlier this year in four countries around the world and deliver next-generation digital lottery games.
The round was led by Rho Canada Ventures and Innovacorp. Jeff Grammer, partner at Rho Canada Ventures, and Thomas Rankin, investment director at Innovacorp, will join Karma’s board of directors.

Halifax-based software company 2nd Act Innovations’ (operating as Oris4) co-founders Andrew Doyle and Peter Hickey have announced that experienced financial executive Keith Abriel has been named chief financial officer of the Halifax headquartered start-up.
Halifax-based ABK Biomedical is developing technology to improve the treatment of uterine fibroids, a medical condition affecting 40 per cent of women over the age of 35.
With investment from the province, the company plans to further develop and market its products worldwide.
